There was the industrial revolution and the United States became the leader of the free world. Next, there was the technology revolution and Japan took an early lead, but the United States held their own, however it is now dubious whether we are still the leader at anything. I believe the next great revolution is in energy, specifically alternative energy and we currently run the risk of not even being in the race.Two recent articles in the New York Times summarize my feelings and concerns on this and I offer them for your review. This issue will determine the destiny of the United States for our children and grandchildren -- we need to get this right and we're off to a terrible start.
