College Selections

Kelsey has heard from 10 of the 12 schools she applied to:

Waiting to hear:
Duke University
University of Delaware.

Kelsey is not really interested in Delaware at this point and she does not expect to get into Duke as it was her "major reach" school. So, she has narrowed the list of eight down to five schools for follow up visits.

Kelsey and Mary Beth will be flying to Indianapolis on Saturday and driving to Bloomington to visit IU. The plan is to attend a class, have a meal in the dining hall and sleep overnight in a dorm. Then it's on to Oxford, OH to visit Miami Ohio. Again, a class, a meal and an overnight and then a drive down to Cincinnati for the flight home. At the end of March, she and a friend will drive down to Maryland with the other girl's parents. Then in April, she and I will return to UNH and Penn State for similar overnight visits. She will need to make a final decision by May 1st.

We are very excited for her -- heady days!! These are all great schools, so she can't make a bad decision. We just want to help her make the most informed decision she can.
